The suede too (really just velour - 1980's flashback). The mixed fabrics are a nice look, but choice of fabrics need work. Anyone who travels with a pet would never want the "suede"!
Not quite 1980's - the micro fiber upholstery material used today is nothing like the velour you are referring to.

We have pets - Noregian Forest Cats, if you don't know what they are - oh well. In our home all that is needed is a quick swipe of a lint remover and all traces of fur are gone in a flash. Our "suede" micro fiber upholstered furniture is the easiest stuff to keep clean.

I think the Classic line is aimed more at the retired market segment like so many of the high end RV's today...at least it appears that way at the RV shows I have been to. The manufacturers have to make a coach/motor home that looks luxurious for those who want their RV to be "golden" to match their "golden years" and the manufacturers also have to select materials that will hold up to life on the road and life with pets and life with occasional visits from grandchildren. The manufacturers also have to have products that will stand up to the occasional family that purchases their RV's as well.

I think Airstream is following this same philosophy with the Classic line. We have a Safari with the midnight sun upholstery and, IMHO, it is ideal for life on the road with two pre-adolescent boys and a cocker spaniel. The bedspreads that came with it were not to my wife's liking so she bought new ones that were more in keeping with our life style and the theme of our Airstream. That just makes it more personalized to our taste. I think that is more desirable, at least to us, than an interior that is so lavish that we wouldn't want to change anything because it is too nice or too "over designed".

However, I will say this. It seems the more a motor home cost, the more Las Vegas its interior seems to get. While I think the Provost is probably the ultimate motor home (at least in my limited knowledge of motor homes), all of the ones I have seen inside are too glitzy and over-the-top for our taste. I would have to have one custom built just to tone it down so I wouldn't feel like I should have a roulette table in the salon or a blackjack dealer on board!

Very well stated "Mate". Couldn't agree with you more. If we traveled with youngsters we'd be right there with you and your choice of Airstream. Isn't it great to have all these Airstream choices? Prevost you say? I've toured those things at a custom shop in Nashville and WOW! Best have multi-millions cause you can easily drop one or three in one of those puppies. Where would you park em? Best have a chain saw on a long stick to camp where we go camping with our rigs. HAPPY TRAILS

I think it looks great....one word that comes to mind when I see it is:

GROOVEY!

10 years from now, it will be as classic as the avacado countertops we use to see in the Airstream line of the 70s!

Wally World...

I was in Walmart the other night, and walked through the bathroom department. HONEST I really saw towels in Harvest Gold and Avacado and Burnt Orange.

By the time we got to Woodstock we were half a million strong....

It's BACK!

You know, that's a place I'd rather not go!

There's harvest gold and then there's retro. The retro is a little more restrained and I like that. HG counter tops is a little too much for me.

I wasn't just the Harvest Gold, but the Orange, Gold and Green floral print on the curtains that sent me over the top.

Yep, it would have sent me over-the-top, too.

Yes, he DID sell it to a forums member - US! It really does look great in person. WE (SHE) really like it. And yes, she is worth spoiling. We bought a new Safari last year and loved it. Time to get a little luxury in our lives.
Come see it when you see us parked. Tours available.
