LED tail lights # 2

Hot off the press.

We now have LED tail lights for many models, that work with the "tail light monitors".

Will list them in our web site, January 24th, 2010.

70's A/S taillight

Andy I checked on your site but I guess there is still not an LED fixture that would fit my 1976 Sovereign. Don

Mike.

Same tail light with a little modification to it.

All that needs to be done to continue with the "tail light monitor" system, is to take the plastic end off the fiber optic wire. That leaves the fiber optic end with a brass sleeve on it.

Insert that sleeve into the back of the tail light, push it as far forward as you can, (about 1/4 inch) seal it in place, with Par bond, or Vulkem, or Sikoflex, or whatever you want ot hold the brass sleeve in place.

Mike, since you already have those lights, carefully drill a 5/32 inch, no larger, hole in the dead center of the back of the tail light. The drill will go thru the potting material. Do not hit the lens with the drill bit.

All the bench tests were great.

Mike, call me if you have any questions, but I will not be back in the office until Feb 15th.

Mahalo.

Sorry, but its rectangular, therefore it will not fit the square holes.

But, I am working on a replacement for the squasre holes.

Thanks Andy. I see you are going to be out until 2/15. Are you heading down to TX for the Vintage Rally that starts on 2/10 by chance. You have a lot of customers down here. My Henchen axles and Kodiak disc barkes are working great.

Don.

No, as a matter of fact I will be heading to the land of real tall palm trees, where you can be in the shade, while your enjoying a 'Mai Tai" or two.

Aloha.

70's led tail lights

Check out my website for instructions on how to install 4" square led tail lights into your 70's era Airstreams.

LED Taillight upgrade

It's simple and the results are great.
