"Jiffy pop" 1959 camper shell

Has anyone heard of, or seen a campershell for the back of a "59 chevy apache. Thinking about building one that is rounded and aluminum like an airstrem trailer but smaller. Any existing plans or experience?

While the current models aren't made of "raw" (unpainted) aluminum as the early models were, the Alaskan Camper is an example of a telescoping truck camper that shares some stylistic features of the Airstream - - especially those from the '53 to '69 era. A quick search of the web didn't turn anything up with photos of the earlier style Alaskan Campers, but you can see the current models at: The Alaskan Camper.

The Alaskan didn't have all of the elegant curves of the Avion truck campers, but they had more curvature than the typical campers of the era.
