I used finials for curtain rods. I used balls. Just drilled a hole in the plastic top and screwed them on. They come with a big screw attached.

I could not be happier with the holder, John was great to work with. But if anybody installs one of these on an Atwood jack like mine, beware the tube is not 2.25" it is 2.20".
A piece of galvanized plumbers tape made the perfect shim.

Thanks for posting the picture rod. You may need to swing the jack motor 90* for the center pole to clear. If so, it is easily done by loosening the 3 set screws in the motor collar, rotate the head, then retighten.

Thanks John. You can't really tell by the picture but on this jack the motor is on top of the jack, so it has the same dimensions on all four sides. The center pole will clear the jack with room to spare.

Good to know Rod. When designing the holder, I tried to account for as many variations of jack heads/sizes, TV's, lights, tailgates, etc as I could. There is an endless variety of combos. About 99.9% of the time it works great. Some of the newer jacks with the huge motor, and the Classic Limiteds with the horizontal bottles pose a problem.

Handy make sure that the diameter is 1 1/8 max otherwise it won't slip through. Some of the multi section poles at Lowe's are to large.

This is a newbie question so please pardon my ignorance! When traveling with your flag holder attached are the flags removed, or tied down, or left to fly?

Leave them up and let them fly! Trick is to see how fast and far you can go before the poles are destroyed and your trailer bent up.

Seriously, take the poles out of holder and store poles and flags. The holder is permanently affixed to the jack.

Yep, gotta tak'em out of the holder.

If you use the hitch pin clip method to attach the flags to the poles as I do, just pull the top pin (leave the pin in the flag grommet), collapse the pole to 6', then simply roll the flag around the pole for transport.
