Talking Dometic Refrigerator parts

Hello to all,
If you ever have problems with your Dometic Refrigerator I have found a great source for having your cooling unit rebuilt or exchanged. We had that horrible amnonia smell in our frig and I knew time had run out. We were leaving soon for a trip and needed a quick fix. With the cost for a new frig out of the question, >$1700. I searched around and found R&R Sales and Service in Walnut Ridge, AR. The guys are great! They found me an exchange unit and had it shipped to me in 3 days for less than $500! With the help of a buddy, I pulled out the unit and changed it over in 6 hours. Taking my time and a couple of cold ones later, it was back in and working great! They have the cheapest prices and wonderful attitude. Their web site even has a "how to" section with pictures to walk you through the process. It wasn't hard, but take your time and find ALL the screws. The number to reach them is 1-866-625-5442. This is the website address:

http://users.bscn.com/fkious/ (A web service)

or, Go to Google and search: r&r sales and service.

I'm always leary about doing business over the internet, but, trust me, these guys, Ross and Rusty, will take care of you. They can also order any other part for most brands and ship them to you. I ordered a new latch to keep the doors closed for $15.

Hope this helps someone!

We acquired replacement Dometic Control board (Dinosaur) from RV Mobile in Everett, WA (www.rvmobile.com) and they also offered great service, repaired cooling units, troubleshooting and diagnostic guides on their web site... THey also sell new or used complete refrigerators.

Many of big RV and accessory dealers just want to sell new refrigerator for $1000 plus, and sometimes that's right answer, but for late model unit with known problems, several of repair and parts sources are better answer. Our Dometic 2607 Automatic unit would shut off after 12-15 hours (gas or 110v) and the new control board fixed problem for $112....
