Dealers in So Cal ??? Your opinion please

Any help with opinions about quality of dealerships for a new Airstream in Southern Cal. would be greatly appreciated. Specific good comments or bad would reward the one that treated you well or punish (loss of my $40K + purchase) the one that treated you badly. This is your payback chance.

Thanks
Iver

Iver.

We suggest you try California RV Sales in Fontana.

They have always been helpful, and do what they say they will do.

You can reach them at 1-866-5993355.

Ask for Fred Donson.

Wink

Inland Andy I am just curious. Were you all ever a new trailer stocking dealer?

If so why'd you give it up?

Also are you a factory authorized or whatever they call it service center for Airstream?

Isn't it very rare for a non stocking dealer to be a factory authorized service center?
Something like that was told to me by a very good dealer on the East Coast who said he would love to be "authorized" but didn't want to take on the inventory. I assumed he meant new trailer inventory. But maybe he meant parts inventory.

Also does Airstream allow more than one dealer in same market area?

A "Service Centers" do not have to be a stocking dealer.

A "Selling Dealer" must be a stocking dealer and a service center.

"Service Centers" are very carefully selected, especially in terms of knowledge of the servicing and construction of Airstream products.

"Parts" likewise must have a huge inventory of parts, along with the knowledge of what they are and where do they go.

Only Airstream can answer your last question.

Cynthia: Thanks so much for your help. Talked with Harmon and you were right ... he knows what he is doing. He got me working on a price that knocks the sockes off what a nearby dealer started with. His "PDI" and walk-thru (which you mentioned) offer is impressive (to this rookie).

Thanks again
