I'd like to introduce to the Airstream family our newest member~
Starting bright and early this Monday morning~
Just before 10 am, Dean and Lisa arrived, armed with coffee~
Awaiting the "birth" of their new Safari 16 ft
BAMBI.
Dean and myself, with Lisa taking notes,

walked thru the entire process~
We also had the RV Tech, Brian, present as well~
Previously, Brian had shown Dean how to adjust the brake controller and, to drive around the huge parking lot to get a feel for it operation~
Also, Brian had winterized their unit for the upcoming COLD season and showed Dean how it's done..Thanks. (I gave Dean a printed list of the steps to help him remember the process, for future references). It goes without saying, We'll only be too happy to do it again in the future, should he wish to have it done by our dealership.
From the very first order of business;
1. Backing up of their tow vehicle for connecting the two unit..
2. Getting the ball greased up and going over all of the towing hook ups.~
3. An outside walk around to show where everything was.
4. Hands on demonstration as to the operation of the awning, stabilizer, sewage, shore power, propane tank controls, wheel's lug nuts, tire pressure, the importance of and when to re-grease the wheel bearings, operation of the stove, A/C unit, where the units power panel/fuses/GFI/ are located, TV antenna control, battery disconnect panel, complete understanding of the unit's status panel, the furnace functions, all of the outside compartments, the complete understanding of just how the water system works, how to flush the holding tanks, checked all of the items in the "beginners kit", showed both Lisa and Dean how to setup the dinnet table for the bed function by actually doing it~
5. Went over the final outside walk-around in preparation for their travel~
Made sure that they understood the operation of the door steps and, that it was stored properly. Checked all of the windows and door lock, that they were in the closed, locked position. Made sure everything was down and closed on the top of unit. Check the operation of all the outside running lights, brake lights, turn signals when hooked up to the tow vehicle. Checked the height of the tongue, etc.
6. Gave many helpful tips on what to use and, what not to use on the new trailer as for cleaning it..
7. Introduced them to WBCCI and, the many advantages of being a part of the "Family"..The latest copy of Blue Beret and, last year's copy of membership directory. Other magazines such as Trailer Life, Highway, Coast to Coast Resort, SunSet, etc.
After nearly three hours, they were ready to get underway to take the new, yet to be named, Bambi home..
From a distance, I followed them in the traffic and, I gotta tell you it was a great feeling to watch just how nicely Dean drove. Those
LED LIGHTS, you just got to love em~!! They really stick out~!!
If you should happen to park next to them at a campground or at a Rally, be sure to go over and say Hi..They're just the nicest folks around~!!
Again, Welcome to the Airstream family, Dean and Lisa~!
ciao
