Birthday

Today, June 1 st, 2016, I am celebrating my 50 (fifty) years, being with the Airstream program, in one way or another.

I started with the dealer in San Antonio, June 1 st, 1966, as a mechanic.

Went to work for Caravanner Insurance, a division of Airstream in the fall of 1969, as a special representative, traveling the country teaching Airstream dealers "how to," investigating "loss of control accidents" when towing an Airstream or Argosy trailer, wrote the "crash book" on Airstream body repairs, and becoming a service center in 1984.

Wow, how time flies.

It has been a great pleasure helping Airstream owners.

I want to thank all of those that have supported me during those 50 years.

Andy,

Congrats on the milestone. Have you considered buying a travel trailer and tow vehicle and traveling full time? Maybe get away from the daily grind a bit?

Congrats,

Gary

Been there, done that for 4 years, all over the USA when I worked for Caravanner Insurance Company, from late 1969 to late 1973, towing a loaded 31 foot Airstream.

Of our lower 48 states, I have been in 47 of them. Missed New Hampshire, I think.

Don't they fly black balloons on your 50th birthday. But it's golden when it's a 50 year wedding anniversary. So it must be SUPER SILVER when you turn Airstream 50. Congratulations. Thank you for your help and contribution. Good luck with your next 50 years. Pat

That's a wonderful milestone. There probably are not many who can say they've been involved with the industry, much less one product line, for that long.

I certainly appreciate all that you've contributed to Air Forums. I've researched a plethora of information on this forum and many of the topics have benefited from your comments.

If I ever have an opportunity to be in your area of California I'll stop by to say hello. I'm still considering having your shop paint our Airstream.

Go for it.

Congratulations Andy! You deserve the accolades for all of the years you have helped others with their Airstream dreams.

When I first joined the Forums, I read just about every post from you that I could get to. I learned a lot and you have helped me over the years with hard to get parts.

May you have many more years of success with the Airstream lifestyle!!
