Are Airstreams New ever discounted?

Was reading the Open Road Forum....Trailer Life-Affinity....and saw a post about some SOB being discounted 25-26%.

We traded in a MH to Dillions (advertise on this forum) but the Airstream sticker price was THE PRICE ...the only "dealing" was in the worth allowed of the MH....

Are Airstreams ever discounted? And if they are not, what happens to those that do not sell?

You would have a much better chance dealing during the "off" season.

I have seen folks post here getting descent discounts on new units but it seemed that those were posts during the winter and end of fall.

The dealers have to sell them - they buy 'em and they are theirs.

A search on the forums will reveal that buyer's have found 12% to 15% discounts, and in a few cases more. However, some particularly popular and hard to get models are sold at list pretty much by all dealers.

And then there are options. The price with options may well be discounted to something like the original list price with some haggling.

New Airstream Discounts

Since you are located in Tucson, AZ, I suggest you check with Joe (the owner) at Oasis RV Center. I consider him very honest and I've seen other good reports here about his RV sales and service.

I'm not impressed with Dillon's in Mesa.

Have a great day.

Our Safari sticker price on the window was $39,049 and we paid $33,500. It was on the lot and we did not have anything to trade.

Just like buying a car. You need to know how to deal, esp with a trade in which is worth alot less than you would think. There are the hungry and the not so hungry.

We got 18% off list when we bought our Safari new in March 2001. I sold my SOB on my own.
