Anyone know a repair shop in Wisconsin?

During a storm, a huge tree limb fell on our vintage '64 Overlander , and part of the roof is caved in at the galley area. It is currently in storage in Northern Wisconsin and we are looking for a shop to repair the damage.

Thanks for any references.

oldschool

welcome to the forum.

short answer to your question, no there are none in wisconsin.

the two closest airstream dealers that can handle that kind of repair are in iowa. one in davenport and the other is in cedar falls.

here are some links...

http://www.usadventurerv.com/

http://www.acefogdallrv.com/

good luck with your repairs!

Hello old school,

Sorry about your trailer. When our door blew open at 70 mph, we went to Ace Fogdall in Iowa. They did an excellent job welding the four cracked areas of the door frame and it looks great. I thinks it was a four hour drive from Madison, but worth it. They are a nice dealership and the service manager treated us and the Caravel very well.

Good luck, TDOW

Fogdall is an established longstanding dealer with an excellent reputation for service. There are many other satisfied customers on these forums. My location implies that I did not use the closest dealer when I put down a deposit on our new trailer -- decide for yourself what that means. When I was there two weeks ago they had quite a lineup of all brands outside their service area. Be sure to call first -- 1-800-747-0747. And make reference to these forums as the source of your info!

I may be wrong -- and thrive on the possibility -- but isn't usadventurerv fairly new in the Airstream world? Like in the last year or two?? They are certainly welcome in the Airstream universe and I am sure are interested in promoting their reputation!! How can you lose?

yes, they have been open for business for about one year.

during my annual visit to davenport for the antique motocycle rally i stopped by to check them out. nice place and quite large. after talking to the staff they indicated they were "vintage friendly" and had taken on some vintage projects. i assume the repair staff is factory trained as is fogdalls.

i just added them to my reply because of proximity not first hand knowledge.

my trailer is from fogdalls and they would be my first choice for major repair.
