I really like this trailer but wanted to see if I could get it in the SE version. So, I went over to the very nice folks at George M Sutton - Unfortunately you cannot get a 20' in an SE version yet. Nuts..

I also was curious as to the weight so I took a picture of the trailer weight info. card. I thought I would share. Kind of blurry but you get the numbers.

Any way the folks at Sutton were nice enough to let me take some pictures.

A few things I've noticed is that the front door could be non-suicide like and the rear window by the sink, looks as if it's suppose to be the emergancy window. Only think is that with the sink faucet in the way, not sure how good of an emergancy exit that window would be. But, the coach is pretty slick.

saw a 20' the other day..

I wondered what everyone thought about the new 20'. We liked it, but has anyone noticed how the refrigerator door opens away from the kitchen, bet whoever did this doesn't cook... And what about the strange crank they have for the hitch, they one we saw didn't have electric hitch it had a top horizontally crank. You have to remove the gas cover to use it, not user friendly at all. ANyone notice any of these issues?

Safari Specs comparing SE & straight Safari models does not show an absolute plus or minus to curb (empty) weight with the SE option. Yes, the pano windows are a value. IMHO the Special Edition full opening Classic- or CCD-type windows offer much more ventilation than the Safari base model. The pano + full opening windows make the deal for me!

Going back to Pahaska's post -- I don't know why Airstream would ever go backward on what has no doubt become their most popular innovation in a decade or more! Of course proprietary business information will remain guarded and we will never know the absolute sales numbers ... but if you read the Forums often enough you'll get a good idea about new owners seeking which model.

Are the tires Goodyear Marathons 225/75 R15 D which are rated at 2540? If so, the GVWR of 5000, doesn't seem to leave much of a safety factor.
