Yeah, that's within reach all right.

Dragging up an old thread...

I just went over to our local dealership and looked at the A/S Sport models, and the DWR- Design Within Reach.

Not a bad trailer overall, given the size/space limitations they are working with.

With one HUGE exception. The bathroom door is a big design mistake IMO.
As you walk in the main entry door, the bathroom is on your left, turn 90* to enter. The bathroom door handle is on the left side of the door, hinge on the right. To enter the bathroom, you must cram yourself in the corner of the outside wall and the dinette, or open the main door to create enough space to get by the bathroom door which is swinging toward you.
What were they thinking? Put the hinge on the left, solve that problem.

Other than that, it was OK.
It has a bumper with compartment, unlike the Sport.
It has a fair amount of storage under the rear bed, accessable from either inside, or outside.
There was one other storage drawer under one side of the dinette.

Anyone know how these have been selling?

Dave

According to Larry earlier this week at the mid-winter IBT meeting they have built around 200 of 'em.

The bath door is in the most logical place. It can't hinge on the left because the curve of the ceiling would prevent it from opening. If it were put to the kitchen side it would open into the kitchen work area and you'd loose the space for the roast beef rack. The way it is now makes for a more private entrance and exit. Yes it takes a bit of a dance step to get in and out, but in such a small space there are some tradeoffs. Jamie

It's a cutie, but a little too compact...
But, going from a 30fter and a 26fter would be a big adjustment.

Maybe I need to take another look at it.
As I looked at it, it appeared that it could hinge on the left.
Opening the exit door to enter the bath isn't my idea of privacy.

It just seemed too awkward, I would pass on this one, and move to a different model if I were in the market.
