2006 Airstream International CCD New Color

Hello,

Airstream has introduced a new color for the CCD line. The name is Aruba and it looks like an aqua blue. If you would like to see what it looks like in a 25' and 28' CCD I have taken some photos. If you would like to leave feedback on your thought of the color please do so.

In the photos you can also see the new Colonial Airstream service facility being constructed.

Of course I LOVE it!

Perfect for the true retro-look in a new trailer ~ not sure about combining it with the orange uppers though, I would have changed them to a lime green or something.

That looks like a nice color Pat. I wonder if we'll see more softer pastel colors in upcoming CCDs. How much would it cost to retrofit current seat covers to a new color? (Say Lemongrass to Aruba).

Robert,

I have ordered seat cushions (zip off covers only) from the factory for a 22 like yours for one customer and I believe it was a few hundred dollars. Not cheap! I knew of someone who bought some yards of the Sunbrella material and made their own. Not sure how they turned out.

Is the new color available on 19' CCD? If so are both the dinette seat cushions and seat backs in Aruba or just the seat backs with the seat cushions in black?

I agree, but a definite improvement over the safety cone orange and the other blue!

I can't imagine why the color inside a CCD cabinet offends so many. Once you load up the rig for travel, you aren't going to be seeing very much of the back of your cabinets. The only thing the color in there does is provide a slight tint to the reflections that squeeze out through the food, clothes, CDs, dog treats, and other junk you put in there.

Other than a little bit seen dimly through a couple stacks of martini glasses, I haven't seen any orange get out of ours in a year.

Nice colors, and an introduction

Like the new Aruba colors - nice compliment to the existing selection.

Let me take the opportunity to introduce myself - a newbie here and long time lurker. We recently acquired a 2004 Nissan Armada SE OffRoad, with the intent to eventually get an International CCD 25.
We're in the California Bay Area, and are wrapping our nickels and dimes for that great day we can call an Airstream our own. In the meantime, I will read and learn and participate a I can.

new colors

We really like the 2005 blue and orange, way more than we thought we would. Had anticipated removing roof lockers' orange end panels and interior bottom skins. All changed once we "moved in". We fell in love with the colors, wouldn't change them for the world. The new Aruba and orange is great looking too. Pat, thanks for the new pictures. Great to stare and dream . . .
