Vernon, glad to see this Mississippi heat isn't slowing down your work on your Airstream because it has really slowed me down.
Interesting that you have boxed frame rails, much stronger than the c-channel that I have.
Anyone know when they started putting boxed frame rails on Airstreams?

Hummm....

Where-o-where-can-my-romex-be? (sung to a classic tune...)

Start pushin in the wire then somethin' makes a noise behind me....uhoh, I've got the dreaded 180 degree tube frame issue...

The next try it hits something solid, sounds like a plastic cap...

Third try I hear water...

Then I hear a noise on the roof...

Ah HA! a solution from a past thread when things also went to crap...

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f446...elp-33571.html

"Plunging" into the problem exposed the other end of the romex just behind the banana wrap...

I slipped a flex shroud over the exposed romex and mounted a male 30A RV plug on the A frame...

I gotta look into a better solution for the connection but right now, nuttin comes to mind...'91's don't use the Marinco stuff so I will have to change a bunch-o-stuff to go that way.

Ya never know how you get attached to these danged ole trailers until...

Having arrived home Sunday afternoon and planning another trip on Saturday, we didn't bother unhitching...no real need for the truck this week...

Tuesday evening I flew back into town from an overnight trip and as Delta Airlines taxied us back to the terminal, I flipped on the phone and "Bing" a text message from the lovely Mrs. HiHo..."don't worry...it wasn't a big fire...just the house water heater...no major damage but we do need a new electric water heater... the fire department just left"

Wednesday morning at work..."Bing" a text from Mrs. HiHo...."I found a Waterheater and will be going to pick it up...I'm unhitching the Hensley to use the truck..."

:30 later..."Bing"..."call me!"... a sobbing voice answers..."I didn't know you left the tongue jack retracted and the nose fell to the ground when I pulled out of the Hensley...I hope I didn't hurt my camper..." I can't understand the rest over all of the crying...

Mrs. HiHo is balling out her eyes wondering if she broke something...and just coming to the realization SHE IS REALLY ATTACHED TO THIS DANGED OLE CAMPER!

Bottom line...no damage other than a bruised ego...a well learned lesson on un-hitching...and knowing it is possible to have an attachment to an aluminum tube camper!!!

During last weekends outing we stopped in Leland MS at the Jim Henson/Kermit the Frog center and noticed water dripping from the fresh tank drain area...we ended up dry camping with no water...

Today I decided to dig in and see what was wrong...anothe case of crappy valves breaking off!

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f443...pair-5206.html

I installed a temp plug until I spring for a PEX crimper for the replumbing of dolly...

Back to Greenville MS for a New Years party and to visit with family. We have been boon docking in the casino parking lot...not the best place we have camped but it's convenient and they do have a security staff member on site until 5:00am. It's only 3 blocks from Does Eat Place...google it for an idea of the neighborhood...the coordinates for the parking area are...

33 24' 54" N 91 3' 41" W

Today we decided to drive over to Grenada and try out the state park...if it's not full!

I'd upload a photo but this iPad isn't letting me do it! Ideas?

I was always loaded out with ceiling tile on a 53' flatbed from the plant there in Greenville. Great runs out to the coast, but no chance of a parking place at Does!
