Those are the kind of people that need to be invited to forum rallies and introduced to the airforums.com so they can be brought into the family!
I told the gentleman about the Forum; however, he didn't own a computer and didn't know how to use one. I invited him to the house to look at our Argosy; however, he didn't want to do that either. Some "new" Airstreamers just don't know what they've gotten into YET!
We were at the Can Opener Rally this past weekend and I spent the afternoon touring other Airstreams and my wife spent the afternoon giving tours of our 30' Safari Bunk. When I got back we hosted the cocktail party for the rally and I gave several folks tours of the "Changes" while the cocktail party was going on.
There was also a couple that was camping in their Airstream in nearby Grayton Beach, FL that came over by invitation to join us for the rally as day visitors. They are WBCCI members and really liked the forum rally format...or lack thereof. They had never heard of the airforums so I suggested they look us up and they said they would. Unfortunately, someone with animosity toward the WBCCI got them cornered. I didn't think that was putting our best foot forward, so I tried to steer the conversation back to a more positive outlook on Airstreaming and to talk up the airforums.com.

We love to give tours of our Flying Cloud. Last summer we were camping at New Brighton State Beach in Santa Cruz. This young couple that were staying in a tent came over and ask if they can have a looksy. Of course we said come on in. After about a 10 min chat the gal looked over to her husband and said, we are not camping any more till we get an Airstream.

Robert,
Those are sweet words to hear from someone who does not yet own an Airstream.
Just think, some poor guy is now potentially thrashing on his own vintage Airstream because of your example .
Good on you.

That's just the perfect attitude to have. Five times (so far) is impressive. You guys are at least having fun going through the various models. You'll have to write an article at some point on your journey.
What we are enjoying is the younger crowd who come to look. A lot of twenties and early thirties people are very interested in the trailer and having a look. They really appreciate the vintage car as a TV as well. But I love hearing "we gotta get one of these".

We show off our little silver home on wheels whenever anyone wants to see...they love it...we are like AS public relations people! We oughta get a commission! And it makes us stay all organized and clean...and that's a very good thing when it's only a 19-footer! No room for clutter...if everything's in its place, there is plenty of room! People are surprised at just how roomy it is...
