1991-2 Excella 1000 Question

I am considering purchase of an Excella 1000. The owner advertised the unit as a 1991 34'. When I looked at it, he said it is actually a 1992 model because they did not make a 34' in 1991.

Also, the trailer is a dual axle rather than a tri-axle. I have only seen 34 footers with 3 axles. Did they offer a 2 axle 34 footer in 1991/92?

How can I tell for sure what the length of this trailer is? It is definitely an Excella 1000 because it says it right on it.

Thanks,
Dave Robertson

Airstream did make a 34' in 1991. The 34' trailers all have triple axles. They should measure 34'-10" from bumper to ball. You can also check with the data tag as to the date of mfg and serial number.

My 87 Sovereign was manuf. Nov. 1986. The manuf tag affixed to the right front has the date of manuf and also the serial number which can be decoded on airstream's web site.

I would tape it. Two axles probably mean 31, or 32 foot.

Dave,
All 34 foot trailers are 3 axle. The 91 and 92 sales info I have shows several 32' models and list the length as 32'9". In 91 there was a rear bath model, a rear queen and twin bed models. In 92 they did not offer the rear bath model only the queen and twin bed models.
