I got jipped out of a storage locker!

I'd like to know what the deal is with my 1986 Sovereign. It doesn't have a storage locker under the bed on the curbside of the trailer. I haven't seen any other '86 Sovereign 31 footers missing this locker. What's the deal?

Becky, is your trailer a rear twin or a rear double?
If yours is a double, an access door there would open into the walking space around the bed.

Mine is a rear twin. It's totally wasted space under the bed behind the inside access space. I'm much, much too chicken to ever put a door in there myself!

It could be made into an interior storage access by putting, if it isn't already, sliders under the bed platform. Then you can pull the bed inward accessing the space underneath. It's like that streetside in our '66 Trade Wind. A wee bit awkward but the space is used for little used gear....extra blankets etc. For multiple items I put those in square soap buckets that I can pull up and out by the handle.

That sounds like a great idea, accept I have a nightstand that's attached to the floor between the beds. I just hate the idea of wasted space. It would make a great spot for hot dogs sticks & pudgie pie makers if I could access it from outside!
