AC location

Hello fellow '66 GT owners! Does anyone have an air conditioner installed on their '66? I have a salvaged AC that I want to install, but the recommended location that I've been given is 76" back from the front rib. This does place it barely forward and over the axle, but before I cut a 14" hole there I am hoping that an owner of a '66 GT can confirm that as the correct location. Is there anyone that can help me with this?
