Single axel

Every time I think I've made up my mind on a 19 ft Bambi as opposed to my alternative choice mid 90 21 Soveirn some one tells me how sketchy a single axel is concerning blow outs? Help!

Single axel

It is a factor. On a single axle a failed tire is a big issue. On a dual axle, you wonít necessarily be dragging one side of the trailer on a blown tire if only one blows. In either case a TPMS is still a good idea.

Our AS had a lot of damage when we had a streetside rear blowout that we did not detect soon enough. Took out a lot of plumbing from the tread beating the AS to death. Trailer kept towing just fine. Only way it was noticeable was smoke and flying parts in driver side mirror spotted by accident. No TPMS at the time.

You can limp off the road at a slower speed and get to a safe spot with dual axle for quite a distance. Not so with single without wrecking the rim.
