Making the bed in a 19' Bambi
My husband and I just bought a 2001 19' Bambi. I'm looking for bedding, especially a quilt. What size would be best? It's a VERY small bed, but a twin comforter seems too small and a full sized may be too big. Any suggestions?

When we had our 19' Bambi (2005), we purchased sheets from https://www.sheetsusa.com/
They fit perfectly!
Call them and they can help you out. Here is the spec on our order:

We also purchased bottom sheets from sheetsusa. Made a world of difference. I made a quilt for the bed and generally find double or double//queen sizes work well. I still haven't found an easy way to make the bed especially since we replaced the mattress with a custom thicker one.
Let us know what you work out. I am always interested in new ideas.

We have a 16 ft so even harder to make the bed tucked into the back the way that it is. I've tried everything and eventually ended up taking a queen size blanket and wrapping it all around and tucking under so it looks neat all day. Then we have a down pad we put on at night both under and over us...roll them up behind the pillows when not in use. Always looks neat that way. Gave up on trying to use sheets. I can't stand the bed looking messy! Gave up on trying to use sheets.
Have you seen AZBambi's site AZBambi Décors Their setups always look great and I believe theirs is a 19ft!
Good luck

We have a 22' Safari, but I also was having trouble making the bed. Fixed the problem by making a mattress (think pillowcase) case. 2 twin flat sheets sewed together. Works for us.

The grey blanket is a full size that I tuck the corners in. I might buy a twin someday.

Thanks! You and I both like red! I also have the ikea lamp but with a red shade. people question the number of pillows but it makes a nice lounge to watch movies or just relax. I love your pictures and red awning.

Can't have too many pillows We also use ours to make the bed into a daybed/couch area for reading and watching TV! Yours reminds me of the Vitorinox Bambi...That was also one of my favorites!

That was the first Airstream I walked in! This one was more than half the price! I got lucky on clearance sales and built a comfy bed.

We really like Pendleton blankets (twin, 64" x 80") to use on the bed in the Bambi...we have several that we use to serve as inspiration for décors we use... the nice thing about them is that they are reversible so it's like 2 blankets in 1... And they look great!
Pics #1 & #2: "Celebrate the Horse" Pendleton bed...
Pics #3, #4: "Spirit of the Peoples" Pendleton bed...
Pics #5: Dinette using "Spirit of the Peoples" open yardage and faux bomber jacket...
See our décors website (below) for "San Miguel" and "Los Ojos"...

Thanks for your response! A few questions: Did you make the garters yourself? And is the twin duvet/cover big enough for 2? What you put together looks great; I appreciate the pictures. Liz

I got our garters at Walmart but Camping world sells them. The twin works great for us and it doesn't need to hang over the bed. We've been very comfortable in the corner bed.

Im in Florida on my first long trip in my 25' Safari, purchased last summer. Tidying the bed is a real pain, especially with a bad back. So last week I bought a Grip 'n Grab stick from Lowes, it's about 3' long and when you squeeze the handle it closes a pincer at the end. You can use it to straighten the pillows, tuck the bottom sheet down the side, pull the top sheet and covers tidily over the bed. It's light weight and very easy to use. Also good for pulling stuff from the far back of the outside storage lockers. It cost about $13.

Blankets for 19' Bambi
We just purchased a 19' 2008 Bambi. We already have custom sheets from airstream. My question: Is a there also a source for blankets that would easily fit the bed in the Bambi or does everyone just use whatever they can find?
Your thoughts? Thanks.

That does look neat! Quite like that bedspread...
Our 23' (same corner bed as the 19') came with a set of fitted sheets, but I admit that we just use double bedding and tuck away the excess.

Thanks. It's just a twin white duvet and a full size grey thin bedspread. I love the European hotels with only a duvet and no top sheet and use a regular fitted sheet with the suspenders.
