here they are, may be a better solution than removing springs.

When I had a Bambi I towed it with a 2000 Chevrolet 2WD Silverado using a Reese HP Trunnion hitch with 600 lbs bars and the Dual Cam sway comtrol. The combo worked great! ABSOLUTELY no sway and rode great. No "freeway hop" at all.
The picture is of my Bambi hitched to my first TV.

I have bars that came with the trailer when I bought it. How can you tell the weight rating on them?

Thanks to all who replied -- I bought a "barely used" WD hitch at a local dealer yesterday and am looking forward to seeing if it will help. I'll install it in the next few days...

One question: The hitch is made by Eaz-Lift, but the spring bars say Draw-Tite on them. As far as I can tell, they fit together just fine. Does anyone think they are not compatible?

They should be fine. I have the same thing, most pieces made by Eaz-lift, the rest by draw-tite and Reese.
