Question Fridge Temp?

What temp/level do you keep your fridge?
We have a 2003 Bambi and to spare countless details, our food freezes on almost every trip we've taken. Lettuce/salad products - forget it - they freeze to death and have to be tossed.
I was keeping it at the 'halfway' mark, then lowered it, and it's still freezing our food.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated!
(no, I have not called the dealer. It's probably a 'user' error)

We had the same unit last year. We kept it at 3 and it seemed to work well. When it was hot out, we'd raise it sometimes, and it didn't freeze out everything. The problem however is that if you did leave it at a colder setting overnight (higher than 3 or LP or A/C) it would surely freeze out.....we learned that one after trying to get some frozen milk for our morning cereal.
