Had a friend do the pounding part but I did the rivets and all the teardown. Two man show.

WOW! It's looking great!
Any bad wrinkles that will be real noticable?

I am really impressed with how strong these coaches are. That was not light hit and concidering what happend it did surprisingly well.

Think you just got yourself elected to be the resident know it all on body repairs.

I don't know if you posted this or not yet but I was curious what the insurance payout and buy back was and how much it cost you to get back to servicable.

bring back to servicable estimate=$1400

the roof does have some waves in it but I have seen worse hail damage. I will be hammering and dollying out the worst this weekend.

Your a brave man taking on that project! Was the insurance not enough to even consider buying new?? I have this fear with our new Safari, hail storms in the spring have destroyed the roof on our house twice in 5 yrs. Our 'Tin House' is not covered

Insurance paid it off and left about a grand more. I was not in a position to buy new again and I really liked some of the design features of our 03. Besides the wife and I got attached to our little trailer so I figured I could fix it and have a newer rig for little $$$$. The furnishings and appliances are new and still smell new. When I'm done I wont' be so worried about clearcoats and dents.

Used to have a old SOB at a permanent place...tree bisected a 34 foot 5th wheel (not ours) a bit bigger than this one looks in the next cove over from ours.

The tree was laying on the frame. It wacked right through...

Hey CampCollector - I think you need to change your moniker to "no good DENT goes unpunished." Always park on the top of a hill and no one will see. Great job, unless you're over 6'5" very little will be noticable.

I havn't got my new AC unit yet so I put a piece of aluminum over the AC cut out and glued it down with sikaflex. I broke out the ole hose and gave her hell. I only found one leak (very small) at the very back of the trailer along the seem between the roof panel and the back curved segments. Those rivets took the most pounding so I am going to drill them out and sikaflex the seem and re-rivet. That sikaflex stuff is the best sealent I have ever used for sealing and gluing stuff. It is very workable and has amazing flex capability, using a wet finger tip it smooths out perfectly.
