1st trip in Bambi

I posted a few other places about our 1st trip in the Bambi.. But I found another pic I wanted to share.. I think I am still in withdrawl from vacation. Although I looked at Lake City, CO weather this am, and it was 20 degrees there..

The campsite..

That's an awful big steak on that plate. Was that all for one person?

Looks like you had a nice, secluded campsite. I know what you mean about coming back from a trip, and longing to go out on the next adventure.

Except for the full-timers, I think we are ALL in various stages of withdrawal from vacation whenever we are not in our Airstreams! That is a feeling that you are unfortunately going to have to learn to deal with. I believe the official medical term for it is aluminitis and the only cure I know of is more time in the Airstream - a real catch-22.
Best of luck and btw, nice Bambi!!!

The steak was for two of us.. Ha! And we ended up with leftovers!

Hopefully next week will be easier on me. This week I'm still in vacation mode. In fact I'm rethinking my decision to store the AS here at home. Our thoughts were we would use it more plus save on the storage fees. Now I'm thinking it's going to be to big of a distraction, I won't get ANY work done..

Do like I do to avoid aluminitis - do small jobs IN the trailer! Jobs are more fun and get more attention segregated from the distractions of everywhere else!

And if you store your Bambi at home, you can always do a driveway campout to get a quick AS fix!

I can only go a few weeks without staying in the Airstream. Lucky we can keep it in the driveway next to the race shop.

Mines in storage and I hate it! I want to camp in her again but she's winterized and were done for the year. but were planning for next year and when were old we can go to az for the winter. Maybe there is a 10 step program we can join to get us through the winter.

When we moved to SoAZ I didn't realize that one of the benefits would be not having to winterize our Bambi in the winter, and in fact, that we'd be able to camp all winter long! I don't envy those who must winterize ... but if you must, you must... Just "get old" faster (or plan a winter trip) and come down to Arizona and go camping with us!!

May winterize after next week.. I had to run the heatpump last week when we hit 25 degrees.

Going to get one more trip in. Hoping to see a few colorful leaves on the trees down in Arkansas..

I was in Eureka last weekend with a bunch of friends and the colors were turning. I wanted to take the Bambi but it wasn't a camping trip. so I was told. Have fun in Arkansas.
