Dry weight Question

Hi everbody, I'm a newby to this forum and plan to buy a Safari 25 within the next year or so. We currently own an SOB (Award 723) and pull it about 25,000 miles per year, and want the extra room and shell quality of the A/S Safari 25. Sorry, but I will probably have plenty of questions.

On another thread, I read the 1997 thru 1999 Safari 25's had a dry weight of 4000 lbs while the Safari 25's from 2000 to present have a dry weight of 4920 lbs. I haven't been able to confirm the 4000 lb. number for the 97's thru 99's. Is that number correct? Thanks!

Hi Bob and welcome aboard.
The 4,000 lb weight is incorrect. Click HERE to view the weight chart on the Airstream website.

Airstream weight chart

On the Airstream weight chart, where is the hitch ball height measured to? Is it the top of the ball or its center?

Smile

Update: while surfing the net I came across a personal website with pictures of the Owner's '97 Safari 25, so I sent an email to him and he confirmed the weight shown on the published list from above at close to 4680 lbs.

The ad for a trailer I am considering showed the dry weight at 4000#, and as I suspected, it was in error. Thanks all.
