What's behind Door #1? (pic needed)

We have a '67 Safari whose PO somehow reconfigured the furnace to where there is no access to light it. The face of the furnace door is stuck flush behind the cupboard post now. I would like to put it back to its original state, but I'm not sure what it should look like. I know that most of us usually don't take pictures of the "behind the scenes" areas of our trailers, but if anyone has a picture of the original configuration/placement of a '67 Safari furnace (installed and inside the galley), would you mind posting it?

Thanks,
Will

OK, here's a picture of what I'm dealing with... Does anyone have any suggestions?

The most expedient solution is to take a saw to the lower part of that post. You could build a frame around the furnace for the post to brace on, and make the cupboard doors overlap, one over the other.

I would make the post removable. Maybe a screw top and bottom. Once the furnace is lit the pilot will stay on.

almost oops!

We are getting ready to put cupboard doors on the kitchen sink cabinet, and had it all measured out and planned.......then I saw this post, and sure enough, when I went out to look, the center post would have been right in front of the door of the furnace.....this would have ticked off the resident carpenter no end if he had done that. Thanks for this post, just in time!!!!! Rearrangements have been made.
