Hello all, our fridge runs great on AC and lit on LP but I immediately smelled a leak. I bought a great sniffer from the Home Depot for $25 and traced leak to the thermostat.
Questions:
Does anyone know of a place to get parts?
Has anyone replaced their unit with a new RV - LP/AC unit? if so which model?
Others suggest a Norcold 410 however, the listed width is larger than the original by an inch and I don't think it will fit without destroying cabinet?
I am commenting on our refrigerator selection although it does not directly respond to your question. Our 22 foot 1967 Safari came to us with a dorm style AC only refrigerator. After considering many options we selected a AC/DC unit because it avoids the issues with running it on LP and it is reported to be exceptionally efficient and reliable.
Good luck with this issue and welcome to the Forums!

We went with the Isotherm DR65 refrigerator. It's a marine type drawer unit using 12V DC or 120V AC. Lew Farber, aka "Lewster", a national authority on all RV electrical, tells me this is a highly efficient unit. There are less expensive AC/DC units but none better We do not need a freezer but there are units with this function.
Attached shows it installed in the incomplete interior backing up to the original "chimney" from the original propane unit.
