History of on Safari

Is there any way I can find out the histoy of my 1966 Safari. The old WBCCI number was : 882. In (OREGON) I am looking for some help in this area.

Also, does anyone have the sales brochure and any other material for this year? I would be willing to pay for copies..

Thank you in advance.
Mark

Mark, Perhaps a Wbcci member has access to a club roster that is old enough to show who the original owners were but the trailer may have changed owners several times since then. If you bought it from the PO in the state that it was last registered in you might get lucky by calling the dept of motor vehicles for that state and see if someone will research past title registrations. Happy Hunting! Ed

In 1967 882 was registered to Rev William and Grete Beck of Brodheadsville, PA. They are no longer listed in the 1971 directory. In 1980, 882 was listed to Doherty.

Safari history

Thanks for the information, this may help me. I am checking with the WBCCI for help also. I think that this safari may be a 1967 and not a 1966 as its listed on the title. The interior pictures of a 1966 that I have looked at don't seem to match. However, the 1967 is a match inside.

Could this be a "LATE" 1966 ?

Hi Mark, You might want to contact the Oregon Unit and see if any of the old timers know who's trailer it was. Did you buy it from a member, or has it been out of the club for a while?

cppilot-

I believe the '66 Safari has the toilet right under the rear window while the '67 has the toilet angled in the corner. The VIN is probably the best indicator, though.

Posting a picture or two will help. Our 67 Safari was made in late 66 so the original owner could have listed it wrong. Hope to see you down the road.
