Bay breeze airconditioner

I bought a 65 safari with an old bay breeze on top. I doesn't work. Is it feasible to repair this? Can a replacement be bought that will fit in the hole on the roof? I need to remove the outside half to get it inside a barn is this wise? Finally is it possible to remove it completely and covering the hole in the roof. Thanks alot for helping a rookie

Yaakman,

you can take off the A/C and install a roof vent.
www.vintageairstream.com has some information on this. They removed their A/C for aesthetic reasons.
Make sure to cap off leftover wiring, and look at some of FrankR posts, his show pictures of the A/C removed. some of the forums have A/C information.
Good Luck!

A bit late, but...

It looks like it is possible to repair these old units: http://www.knology.net/~tcwilliams/AirConditioner.htm
