For drilling out the rivets, you can get a tool from Vintage Trailer supply for $40 that works great. Also not sure what the C-channel look's like in your model and year, but I just had a machine shop shear and bend them up for me. Took them almost no time.

Good luck and keep posting, the folks here are a great source of knowledge.

I ordered a new set from OTD Mart. Seemed the easiest way, and not too expensive. My Dad has been a tool maker for 30 years. I'll post some pics of what he makes. He's got a desk job now, so he's always happy to wander down to the shop to make something.

Also, has anyone swapped in leaf springs on a vintage AS. I know it will raise it's profile a bit, but thinking of swapping them while I'm repairing the frame. I know it will work, just wondering what the cons might be.

Got the AS framed and braced for the full monte. Not done, but pretty close. Hopefully start the lift off process tomorrow. Got a pic of the progress, and my assistant, she's not much help.

Bracing is like a cow bell. What you need.
