Hi Rich,
Tried to send you a PM, but it was blocked. Anyway, we're home now, and we have 20 of the longer ones and 4 of the short ones. PM us with your email if you want them, and we can work on shipping them to you. All we ask is that you cover packing and shipping.

I so appreciate your generosity. Sorry I'm so late in responding. We've been packing to return to TN from FL. Would it be possible to wait until mid May when we are home. Rich

I am still working on getting my frame back in shape, so my Airstream is currently a shell on a hole. Been making progress slowly but surely. So far I have the rear 12 feet of frame boxed in with new crossmembers also. This has certainly turned into a longterm project, but will be nice when I get it done.

Absolutely.
I still have a long list but getting down the list. Should have water back in AS
hopefully today. All of the facuets rusted shut and busted pipe in wall.
Got to replace all of the lp gas regs, connections, etc on the tongue and replace some valves.
Havent addressed the frig but will be later on.
Bed in back needs to be raised to make sure above new water heat (not purchased yet)
I looked at the maps showing clubs in US, but I didnt see any in our area. None in LA, MS..but maybe I overlooked them.
keep me updated.
later

I believe that WBCC has a Southern Louisianna chapter, I had spoken to a gentleman in Baton Rouge who is a member. I need to get done with my frame and floor before I join up.

I hear that. I want to "finish". But finishing might be just to a level....then continue on to another level.
Do you know anyone who has ever polished their own AS. I have seen video clips online. Just curious right now. Not ready for that.

BW & Baseman. You guys can always join The Airstreamer's Club. We have one member in LA now and always need more. Your trailers don't need to be finished to join. We are a very easy going club and our main focus is on camping and having fun geared toward families.

BW in answer to your question about polishing I am doing my 73 Excella 31 ft now. It is very labor intensive as I am striving to get that perfect mirror finish. My reno will be a complete makeover from the frame on up so I want the shell to look perfect. So far I have built a new frame, installed a new floor, new belly, new axles, replaced several damaged panels and am working on the polish now before I attach all the new awnings and other exterior components before moving on to the interior.

Just signed up for Airstreamers, thanks Chris.
Installed 2 more outriggers this morning. Had to take a break and watch the 1 and 2 year olds while my wife took the 4 and 6 year olds to thier swimming lessons.

I see several entry door seals available. Do you have one that you prefer for the entry door?

Bw I had a newer seal on my entry door so I didn't need to change it.
When I ordered new seals for my windows and compartment doors I got them from Inland RV. Andy was very helpful in choosing the right seal and he even knew what lengths I would need based on the number or doors and windows. I didn't even need to be bothered measuring anything.
Sorry I can't be much help to you.

Back on my 73 working again!
Does anyone know source for new aluminum strip along the bottom? Otherwise I will attempt to polish the old strip.

BW if you are talking about the lower beltline molding that goes around the bottom of the shell at the transition between the shell and the belly pan. I have been told by Andy at Inland RV that it is no longer available. I have a 73 as well and am missing a piece on the bottom of the door. There is a newer style available from A/S but you would need to buy enough to do the whole trailer to get it to match.

Replacing Window Gaskets
Working on windows, replacing gaskets, have removed and cleaned the old solar coating inside/between the window panes.
Anyone have experience or preference on the gasket type? I see there are two types, the original which has double compression flaps and the newer "D" gasket. Which is the best?
