New trailer in Europe 1971

Hey,

I'm new here, i registerd because we just imported an '71 souvereign camper from the US. all tough in very good condition. we are going to restore it and make adjustmenst for the Europeen roads.
Restoration will commence in winter. once we start, i'll be asking a lot more questions on where to get airstream specific parts etc.

For now i got two questions.

there is a ZipDee suncover attaced to the trailer, but when we extend all the legs to their maximum (left and right) the support legs are way to long to attach to the hook up points. look at the picture. can someone give me a clue on what is going wrong?

and what does the number mean that you see on many trailers?

Thanks.

Luk

Thumbs up Welcome aboard

Locate #10 on your support arm, pull it out and you should be able to adjust the arm.

The #'s are for the Wally Byam Caravan Club.

I've located #10, and in the picture the support arm is fully extended,
but there are only 3 holes in the liding part. of which 2 holes very close to the beginning, so the arm is to short to get attached. and one hole hully extended (as shown on the picture, ) an then it is way to long...

i'd thought of drilling an extra hole, but this doesn't sound right ;-)

Move the arms and attach them to the roller as shown in this attachment:

Another member recently bent his arms attaching them in the same manner as you.

The number currently belongs to a couple from Numidia, PA. They may have been the previous owners of your trailer.

Cool that you can trace the previous owners, maybe they would like it to know what happend to their trailer...

Underneath the current number is another one. i'll write that down aswell ;-)

thanks for the help.

The number underneath, the current letters was 26726.

Was the souvereign availaible with several floorplans? i've got one with a rear bathroom, and center seperate beds. but i want to redo the interiuou to a rear double bed. and center shower.

it would be nice to see the plans of the original layouts.
