ah yes to the breakway switch. I would replace that for sure. The flag holder, oh yeah! That's what is in my closet.. one of those multi flag aluminnum pole things.
Jim- you make sense if I can locate the correct wires. The motor for the jack is what I was wondering about storing. It sits on top and had a cover over it, but no way could it stay there when moving. Must need to unplug when not in use, but was not easy to do that. The switch on it came off totally when I moved it a bit. Might scrap it??

Alan,
I would put money in the budget for a new electric jack down the road. My head is pinned on mine and has a cover over it. It stays on the jack all the time. It looks a bit different from yours. Mine has the gears on the top with the motor hanging off the side. Break away switches are relative cheap $10-$15 and readily available.

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
Alan, a brand new electric jack is around $200 at my local Camping World. If and when mine ever goes South, I will just pick up a new one, and put it on. Three bolts and a wire, it's pretty easy to install.
the budget is a little strained now so I will keep that on the wish list. I do have the handle to roll it by muscle power.
I still need an equalizing hitch and brake controller , and we are spending some on the interior redo. Oh yeah and I bought a truck this week. Not a bad week. Sold the Moho last week, bought a tt and a tv and got a lot of work done on the two of them.

cleaning out the flooring, removed the gaucho, and attacked the walls near the univolt. All covered in dirt dauber dried out nests, maybe 15 or more.Yuchh.
Scrubbed it all out, found small rot spot behind the battery door, and a bit of sag where the battery sat.
I am repairing and sealing it all and thinking hard about removing the battery door, covering it over and going to the outside hitch mounted box like Dennis did on his Sovereign.
Where do others have their battery mounted??? I can run longer cables and move it to a covered marine type box, using an Optima gel battery.

I finished painting the cabinets and trim, now will coat with gloss poly seal. They really look good, a bluish gray paint with small flecks of blue. Covered many small problem areas.
Removed the rear nightstand, we hate how big it is. Will put something else in there..7 hours in there today, got a lot more done.

Alan, I'm moving mine from the back, under the shower, to where yours is now, under the goucho. Too much weight in the back end. Also moving the Univolt replacement there (haven't decided which one to buy yet). I figure it'll take at least 150 lbs off that weak-butt rear frame.

The UNivolt is there at the front middle. Seems the battery adds too much weight unless I get under there and strengthen it somehow. The floor was not rotted but did sag there a bit. I looked into welding a support on the tongue as Dennis did on his, and might go that way, but if I can get the supports done, inside in a battery box would be ok.
