I know she's a 31' Sovereign centre bath twin. The info I need to complete my forms is what year she is and what weight she would be. Would the insurance forms be wanting the dry weight?

She's got an end cap dent at the seam in the front that affects two curved panels. I'll try the deflated basketball trick to see if I can pop it mostly out and she's moldy. Ten years as a beach house/additional accommodation at a cabin in the woods in the temperate rainforest of Vancouver Island with no electricity to ever hook in to to keep her dry she'll be a full gut job for sure. Surprisingly though shes dry inside. I was in her during a major rainy spell this winter and the plywood floor was all dry but the walls are spotted with mildew so I will pull all the walls and toss the insulation and pull the belly pan and asess whether the floor is indeed sound and see if there is a product I can sterilize it with to knock out spores if it is.

That was my thought....Charlie's Angels???

How did it end up with no papers and for $750?

Have you checked to be sure it has no wants or warrants?

Ditto to Maggie about the papers, and wants and warrants. Do you ever plan on registering the trailer and getting plates to put her on the road?

It would be interesting to hear what risks you have assessed in buying a trailer without papers, and your reasons/plan for going forward without them.

Thanks.

It was used by her, but Kate has made several made for TV movies in BC and I am not a sleuth enough to figure out when and what movie she used it for. The fellow I bought it from I know personally, and he got her with the land and cabin years ago but didn't know how to keep it safe in the moist environment and now it's sad and he wants it happy again and knows I will restore it well so that's why the low price. :-)

FYI here is the AS Archive page with various old documents linked:

https://www.airstream.com/service/document-archive/

Maybe this one applies to your new trailer?

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...070f0a3d74.pdf

See the 3rd unit on p. 4/4 of the PDF here for the 31' center bath model:

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...c978cc1dc7.pdf

$12,155 new in 1975?

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...50c82cac94.pdf

Good luck. Still curious if you intend to register her and get plates, and how that is done in Canada with no title or other papers?

Thanks.

Wow the original list price is double what my '69 Safari went for originally. What were to reasons the internationals had so much more value?

Thanks for the other documents to :-)

The '69 Safari is 23' and the Sovereign is 31' lots more aluminum and interior features. That's part of the difference 8 more feet of interior room is not cheap. The International is a trim package upgrade from the standard Landyacht base trim package so that also plays into price differences. Check to see if the one you have found has the floor safe option built in to a closet floor. This would most likely be the case if a Star were using this trailer during a Movie or TV show shoot! Try to contact Kate Jacksons' Personal Aid Secretary to see if they can give you any additional background on when, where and what the use of the trailer was for. They also sold customized trailers for studio use as star dressing rooms and living quarters. This would affect the real price of a unit sold so the price quoted to you is only an average of what was a standard base price for a '75 model year coach. Airstream Company records may also still have some info on this serial numbered unit as it appears it was built at Jackson Center plant so those records may still be around. Good Luck, Ed

Lucky that ol' trailer found you. Not everyone appreciates the value, or is as capable of doing things as well as you. It's a remarkable trailer in Airstream's history. 1975 center bath.

From what I gather, International v Land Yacht… Added superfluous pop-rivet trim molding and international logos on exterior. Interior “upgrade” wood from Ash (elm? HA!) to Mahogany? Walnut? Cherry? Added 12V cigar lighter in bath. All ceiling vents have fans. Most of the included luxuries of the International could be ordered as singular options in land yacht trim. I wonder if the center bath came only in International trim?

Great find, Have fun
