Leak in closet between bed & tub in 75 Sovereign.

Had a major leak this week. Soaked through the floor, and because I wasn't level, ran across the floor into the other closet, of course, under the laminate. Water and carpet smelled very fresh, so new leak. Plus, now the laminate is warped and wasn't before. I've dried everything for a few days and was pretty convinced it's in the water lines and not from our torrential rains.

Last night I put the water pump back on, and voila, fresh water in that closet under the shelving that's a couple inches off the floor. There's nothing under the twin bed, or in the water hose storage area accessible from the outside near that area. All I can see and feel in that closet is a boxed in frame where I'm guessing are the pipes heading to the tub.

Now what? Take the closet apart and look for busted piping? Before I do that, any advice greatly appreciated. I've searched the forums, but maybe not hard enough.

Dont rule out the vent for the tub and toilet are in that area. A bad seal or missing velcum should be aparent.

If the leak isn't obvious at first look, then see if you can't take a flashlight and follow the plumbing to try and determine where it's coming from. If it's within the cabinetry, study it for a while and try to determine if there is a simpler way to access than taking the whole thing apart. Repairing the leak may be as simple is cutting out a section of pipe and soldering in a new length. For a temporary fix, you may just clamp it off with a length of flexible hose.

Pretty sure it's not the vents. I just sikaflexed them (hope that product is ok) a couple of days ago. Plus, I put on the water pump went over to the closet, and brand new water. Here's a pic of area. Looks like 'they've' duct taped there before. For now, I'm just not running the water. I'll try what you said Cameron, and watch. (Just tried adding a pic, couldn't)

Thanks a million Cameron. I think I'm getting close. Water started to bead at a connection with a plastic hose attached to the copper pipe seen in the photo. I also think I'm getting close to the reason that I don't have running water in my tub. There's been work back there. And, I have very little to take apart to get at that joint.

I hope your able to track it down. I'm living in mine as well, so I know that finding stuff like this leaves us wanting to fix it as soon as possible!

If you are repairing copper or plastic pipe and want a quick and effective fix use Sea Tech fittings. They are plastic fitting, made to fit common pipe sizes, that use an O ring as the seal and they are removable with just your fingers. Just cut out the problem and slip on the new fitting and you are done.

While Sea Tech is one brand there is second brand now available but I don't have a name.

I think the other brand is Shark-bite, or something like that. Kidless, you can get the Sea-tech fittings at Home Depot, although they aren't packaged as Sea-tech. Marine supply stores around here also carry them.
