1997 Excella 1000 - 34' FK

This fall I have purchased a 97 Excella 1000 34FK, with the FK standing for a Front Kitchen. This is a design layout that my wife loves, but seems to be quite rare. I have been able to obtain the specs and a floorplan, but not much other info. I would appreciate any other info and particularly a copy of the factory brochure for that year. Thanks.

We have friends who have that model. They love the lay out and it is one of my most favorite floor plans. Their coach is simply beautiful. They pull it with a Hensley hitch and a F-250 pickup. You are correct. It is a very rare model. Our friend's is the only one I've ever seen. I commented to one of our old timers how I admired this trailer and he retorted that the main rub with this model seemed to be that it was very heavy in the front and didn't tow well with conventional hitches. That may be why our friends use the Hensley. That is the only front kitchen I ever saw and that was the only comment I ever heard about them so I'm not certain you should put all that much credence into the old timer's comments. I just thought I'd pass it along.

I also have a 1997 Airstream Travel Trailer (34' Front Kitchen). I LOVE it! It has been pulled with a Hensley hitch as well. I am the 3rd owner and I have all or most of the book/paperwork. Anytime we had to replace something or purchase something for it, we kept all paperwork, receipts, etc. Truly a remarkable unit.

Like you said, it may be best to not put too much credence into the old timers comment. I have heard it now from 2 different sources and something like that turns quickly into a "fact". The reality is that the tongue weight is only 25 pounds more on the 34 FK versus the regular 34.
The 1994 30' FK has the same tongue weight (750#) as the 30' Excella.
I recently purchased a 1994 30' FK and I not notice any difference pulling it versus my 1997 30' Excella WB. We just love the layout. I had to rebuilt the front dinette and converted the rear twins into daytime office/nighttime twins use. The goucho will be a sleeping booth with a floor to ceiling curtain. A couple of pictures of the 2 dinettes
