Yes it is. We have used allure several times now and have it in the teak pattern in our 89-29. This pattern is called "edge maple" and we fell in love with it when we saw it. It us special order and is maddeningly hard to get samples of, but we are soooo glad we chose it-- it feels like yacht flooring to us!
We finished the flooring today and stripped and painted all of the window frames. When they dry we will red teen them. We painted the inside of the door, fixed a small hole in the door skin (interior) with a riveted patch and put in new weatherstripping. We reinstalled the bathroom vanity (a tight fit, much cursing) and sanded and painted the medicine cabinet interior, and put a final cost on all the bathroom wood which we painted dark walnut. The whole trailer feels so much better with the finished floor!
Any wood experts out there? We have been assured that our cabinets are hickory. We have also been assured they are walnut. They are obviously not oak. Any ideas out there? In 86 excellas were usually oak, but this wood is extremely different from oak. Limiteds came with hickory, so that makes us think that might be correct. If you know, please tell us! Katie

Thanks! I'm returning my cherry Allure & getting the "edge Maple". I love it! I helped my daughter put it down in her 34' Avion & it was truly a pain. It looks nice, though, & really is easy to care for (as you would know with your quiver full of children )
Hey, if we could tandem-trailer we wouldn't need to build do many bunks! if only.... But we are resigned to selling our smaller one this spring.
That's great in the edge maple allure. I keep going down to the trailer just lo look at it, I like it so much! We will be twins! Or at least our campers will be!
Thanks, Alan! We are moving rig along. Fabricating the bathroom counter and some new light fixtures right now. W e are also trying to find a stove since the one that came with it was unfortunately unsalvageable. Fun times.
We took an unexpected break from trailer renovation to go see my parents in the Shenandoah Valley. Virginia got lots of snow this week, and our young Georgians don't get to see much of that. We packed up the seven (and some airstream stuff a new friend there needed) and headed to my parents' house to sled. Before we left, though, Rob installed an automatic tank washing system he modified to hook up to the city water connection and installed the toilet. We went with a Sealand dometic porcelain 300-series toilet with an additional hand sprayer. You can see the top of the black tank washer on the floor to the left of the toilet. He also installed a panel made of 3-form to the base f the shower and hooked up the newly-silver heat supply vent cover. Still need to reinstall the freshly painted cabinets and mirrors and the new 3-form
Light fixtures we made. Also need to fabricate and install the bathroom countertop/sink/faucet.
Here are photos of the bathroom progress. You an see the tool rob made to remove the stubborn toilet flange. You an also see the back tank washer. It goes through the bathroom floor to the left of the toilet and is a spray head projecting into the black tank. Rob modified it slightly for vertical installation. The plumbing for it runs behind the toilet and out through the vanity and ends in a city water supply connection above
Glad y'all got to have fun in the snow. I took your advice on the krylon fusion. Went on well and looks great. Now I am curious to see how you will fabricate your countertop. My sink was brittle and cracking. I have still considered using the outer part as a frame and finding a flat material to cover it. It really doesn't make sense, but ease of install is a factor.
On the other hand, I have a nice oval drop in stainless sink. I have thought about getting a small cabinet or table and just cutting a hole for the sink to place in the corner. Still looking though. I really would like to get rid of that counter and that shelving thing, but not really sure how I would mount or secure or even waterproof a different set up. Hope you don't mind if I "borrow" your counter ideas.
By the way, sherwin-Williams is clearancing the Fusion in my area. Not sure if regional, or what. Worth a look if anyone is in need.
Yes. We own spray equipment and are very experienced painting with it, but we did not want to use regular paint of any kind. Krylon fusion is the only kind of Paint we truly trust for the long haul on the vinyl-coated aluminum as well as the ABS. After exhaustive (and exhausting!) research we ended up going the spray-can route. We did not want a brushed or rolled finish, and Krylon doesn't recommend spraying their fusion in regular sprayers. Since fusion bonds to the surface very differently than regular traditional paint does and there is no competing product we like as much, we used cans. Crazy-- but it turned out exactly the way we wanted. We LOVE Krylon Fusion.
We didn't work at all this weekend, we camped in our 29-footer instead. It was wonderful!

We did not use it on any Formica at all. I would contact Krylon and ask. They have excellent customer service. We fabricated new counters for the kitchen and bath.
Holy cow, you are just like us with always needing a project! Love your ambition! I wish we lived closer, I would love to hang out and check in on your progress. I just had a metal shop duplicate the front propane tank cover since ours was damaged by a blow out from the previous owner. I am going to take the wheels off so I can paint the wheel wells, then I think we are finished with our 32'.
