Love your bathroom and tank cover, Danjoe! Post some more pics! We have a lot more to do on ours-- next is installation of the stove, dishwasher, microwave, and vacuum. Here are some shots of Rob sealing the outside.

Love your attention to detail! The couple we bought our trailer from gave us the same caulking tool you are using. We forgot to ask them if they did the caulking already, or were preparing to. I cannot remember the name of the sealant to use. All of our windows look in good shape, but I will go over them just in case.

I enjoy watching your renovation of your Excella. We have a similar trailer. The bathrooms are very similar.

Have you had to address failed oval stack window seals in your project? All 4 of my dual pain stack windows have failed. I could put gold fish in them! I'm told I have to replace them (54 rivets per window, $250 cost per window after I dig out all the heavy calking around the frame.)

Danjoe91, I like to use Acryl-r with the pump for all the small seams etc. it's great because it wicks into the area you are sealing. On the other areas I use adseal in white or gray like the window eyebrows and the rubrail. I still use tempro for installing things like fans, outside showers or anything I'm mounting down. I've tried a lot of stuff and I like these products the best so far.

Outdoor shower

I added the same outdoor shower in almost the same place. The previous owner moved the water heater to under the dinette, so I put the shower in the spot where the water heater used to be. plumbing was already there!

Thank you! I appreciate the education you had to go through to figure all that out!

Where did you get the grey outdoor shower, I've seen white and black but not grey.

I'd love to add one to my Safari while I've got the plumbing apart!

Alan, it is a pump applicator and you buy it once and use it with refill cans of acryl-r. The adseal I buy in caulk tubes to fit a standard caulk gun. I like the nice tip each tube comes with. I get them both from Airstreams website.
Aldeanfan, we got the shower from Camping World and I painted it with my favorite Krylon Fusion paint. The color was nickel shimmer. We wanted the stainless shower from Airstream but it was about 250.00 and the plastic one was 35.00 on sale so maybe later on that.

Been meaning to thank you for the info on using krylon fusion for painting plastic. I will make sure from here on out that anytime I paint plastic, I will use Krylon Fusion.

I keep picturing the zillion empty cans you used to paint the interior of your airstream using krylon fusion.

Thanks also for the info on the outside shower and painting it with Nickel Shimmer.

I used Fusion on my Overlander bathroom sink. It came out nice and clean looking and has been used for almost two years...

Alan

I painted my 66 TW sink using Porv whitecoat. I wish I had used Krylon fusion.

Rob installed the dishwasher and microwave cabinets, which he had to modify heavily in the installation. He is refs using the cabinets one at a time and the hickory is beautiful. We had a frustrating week: the new stove we ordered from Michigan arrived completely destroyed. We are waiting for UPS to pick it back up for return. Anyone have a 22" stove to sell?

All, is there a common source for the leak which ends up rotting the floor just inside and to the right of the front door?

I blame it on the aluminum over the step. Splash water can penetrate the panel and sit on the wood. I enlarged the panel and sealed it to death so hopefully it will not happen again.

Suhweeet!!! Is that a dishwasher made specifically for RV's? I've never seen one (I guess I haven't looked), but with your crowd, it's a great thing, I'm sure!

Oh, we love the dishwasher. We have one in our 29' too. (we are selling the 29' as soon as this 32' is mostly complete.) it saves time, water, hot water, and gray tank space. It is super quiet and does a great job washing the dishes and makes us choose real dishes over paper. It also stores the dishes, so there's no loss of storage room.
