Hey guys. I've seen that from time to time people have had the problem of a blowout on the trailer breaking the outer and inner lining for the wheel wells on their excella. I went ahead and purchased the replacement before researching how it's installed.
Let's just say I'm in no position to rip out the entire bathroom and subfloor right now.
Luckily the outer liner is split in a few ways but mostly there. If it were fabric, I could sew it back together. I've seen repairs on such plastic before with fiberglass tape and epoxy. I was wondering if anyone has any howto on that method of fixing? Since I have a spare wheel well inner/outer cover, I can cannibalize it where I need to. I just need to know what type of epoxy/tape to use.
I have used rattle can expandable foam to fill the gap between inner and outer fender well with good results. Also glues the pieces in position. I have also pop riveted a patch with Vulkem (now Trempro 116) sealing the edges. If you have hair cover it. Only way to get the goop out is to cut it.

Can you use the new one as a liner for the old ? Remove tires, trim edges to fit from outside, rivot and silicone caulk perimeter to seal. My .5 cents not 2cents.... Almost forgot...Welcome to the forum bsimmons
