Owner's manual

Say, I would gladly trade a copy of my 1978 Excella 500 Service Manual for a copy of an Owner's Manual. Anybody got one?

Cheryl,
I recommend you keep the service manual and get an owners manual as well, the owners manual provides basic information to operate your AS and the service manual goes into more detail on troubleshooting, diagrams, systems, etc. They work well when used together. You can get an owners manual from Secretarial Services listed in the Vendor forum, if your looking for an original they occassionaly come up on ebay (keyword Airstream).

I was lucky, got them both with my '78 Excella. I'm finding them pretty handy. I could look up something for you until you get one from the other sites. Did you keep the vacuum brakes or go with an electric brake actuator?

I'm looking for a copy of an owners manual and service manual for my 83 28' Excella 280 Motorhome. Can anyone help me out. I contacted the secretarial services and they have the owners manual for 75.00. I'd like to put that money into the coach and find a cheaper or free manual.

Thanks

Manuals

As of today, the Airstream factory and store, "do not" have any motor home owners manuals or service manuals.

This was just confirmed by telephone.

But they do have many manuals for the Airstream trailers but not Argosy trailers.

Bummer - Andy, do you know if they will have them again? I got Argosy manuals last year and a shop manual. I thought they were printing them in house?

Option B would be Helen Davis Secretarial... but they are low quality photo copies...

Helen Davis at Secretarial Services, PO Box 484, Sidney, OH 45365 (937) 492-8885.

I got the info from Karen, at Airstream parts department.

She also suggested Helen Davis.

I would think that Airstream considers the demand, before they reprint anything.

It took them years to finally decide to make some Airstream trailer service and owners manuals available.

But at best, a low quality copy is still better than no copy.

I would be fusterpated if anyone wanted to swap a 72 Service Manual for my 74 Service Manual (I actually need 1971 info but I understand 72 was the first year for service manuals)
