pictures 1968 Ambassador

We just purchased our '68 about 2 weeks ago. We've taken up all of the new and orginal carpet that was down. The original fabric is still on the gauchoes hiding under the newer outdated fabric. We have one small area on the floor to patch by the door. Lots of plumbing to figure out! Overall she is in good shape. Curious if anybody has interior pictures of their '68? I'm having a hard time picking out fabric that will not clash with the lovely turq/mint green and stripes in the bathroom.

Hi, KECM!
Way up at the top of the screen you'll see a row of grey tabs, one of which is called "Photos." Click there and browse around. I'll bet you'll find something close to what you're looking for!

Lots of pictures here: Vintage Airstream Photo Archives
BTW, you are asking about a 68 but your profile says 67?

Welcome to the forums from a fellow Mississippian! I think you have some of the neatest camping up in that part of the state, mostly along the TennTom. Hopefully we will see you on the road.

LOL, it is a '67! My husband keeps laughing me because I call it a ' 68 and I call our '70 bronco a '71. I guess its called tired brain all the time . Thank you all for the info! And yes, we do have great camping here on the Tenn Tom. We live about 4 miles from Town Creek campground. We drag our 13' ocean kayaks, kids and fish a lot! We just sold our '61 shasta and got the Airstream. We get lots of looks from the generations that saw them new...you do not see any vintage campers around here except in pastures falling to shreds. I'll post pixs soon. Thanks - Kiley

Had to deal with the same problem when I rebuilt my '66. If you go browsing through my images (linked below my name to the side of this post) you will see my choices of fabric, countertop colors, and flooring.

Part of the issue is that the color of the Fiberglas differs depending on the amount of sun exposure over the years.

Pottery Barn has so stuff that goes well ....

We used Sunbrella's Abbey Nightshade material for the couches.
