No I don't we have a caravel and the heater is not efficient at all and posses more of a fire hazard then a benefit not only that but we are more about using the gas for cooking hot water and the fridge! Your heater after clean up is more practical anyway due to larger trailer and bigger black tank to keep from freezing!

New to me '67 Ambassador

It isn't really a space heater but a 14,000 btu direct vent wall furnace.

It easily heats my 31 footer, even when it is cold. It has been tested to 9 degrees so far.

I have removed the black tank and it seems as though the floor is a bit rotten because the rear compartment door had been missing for Lord knows how long here's a pic of the carnage

Does anyone know if there's a similar carpet out there for purchase?

Here's a few pics of my problems. I could use some direction with my water heater surround, it looks awful. I think if I had an aluminum piece to replace the sheet metal with id be satisfied. Also, the air conditioner surround needs some love. When I removed the surround, I found the inner unit to have what looks like black tar sealing it to the aluminum roof.
Thank you in advance for any help or insight to this.

A/C Shroud

You can buy a new Shroud from a few vendors.... Mine came from InlandRV.com. There are other vendors that carry replacements for that shroud. Do a search using keywords like A/C Shroud, Armstrong Air Conditioner, ETC. Hope this helps, Ed

carpet

Look to local carpet stores. You might even find a very close version of that same sample you show in your previous post. Lots of colors of that style of low pile carpets are still available. Ed

Thank you Ed.

I have a factory installed wire approximately 8" to the right of the water heater... Can someone please tell me where it goes? Everything works now even though it doesn't go to anything & it's been just hanging there since I bought the trailer.

Thank you!Click image for larger version

Wire

Check the stubbed wire for 12 Volts DC and 110 Volts AC. Also check to see if you have an exterior outlet directly above that wire on the exterior skin. If so is it live when the trailer is plugged into shore power? If not it could be a PO cut the AC wire inside to disable a defective outlet that was causing the skin to shock them when hooked up to shore power. If so the only option is to leave it dead or remove the inner skin to replace the wire and check for any shorting inside the shell. These trailers had aluminum wiring and were subject to poor connections and shorting over time. Ed
