Hauling a 1967 28' Ambassador - need a measurement

Hi - we are not yet Airstream owners but soon. We are about to purchase and haul away a 1967 Ambassador. The unit has been gutted and sitting. the tires hold air and the unit does roll/move but we will be using a float to transport. I am not near the trailer and I need a spec in order to rent our float trailer for hauling:
what is the distance from behind the rearmost tire to the end of the hitch?

btw I have read the thread about ratchet straps - ouch - so I should also ask:
how best to secure the trailer onto the float?

Many thanks.
