Track Width Questions

Hello
I'm new on this forum.
I buy 1975 Overlander and I export it to Europe
Can You tell me a track width dimension, becouse I can't tow on wheel my Airstream, so I must transport it on truck.
I need this to find a truck for transport (most of it has 82inch width)

sorry for my bad English

This is my new Trailer:
what do You think about it?

Very nice. I'll let others chime in on the track width. I'm not too familiar with the old units and their specifications. What is the modification to the propane tank on the right in your picture. It appears to have been converted to gasoline or diesel???? What appliances have been modified and/or changed out?

I don't know what is this
I check when it comes to me, and write something more about.

Below is a link to part of the 1975 brochure which states the "outside floor width" at 7'-8" (92")...I know the wheels sit inside that, but I'm not sure how far.

1975 Standard Specifications

Maybe someone else will chime in, but looks like you will need a wider truck. Hopefully someone with a similar trailer can measure the actual width at the wheels and post their result.

Nice looking trailer! Good luck!!!

Shari

P.S. All kinds on information that may help you out with your "new" baby can be found here.

If you contact the customer support people at the Airstream factory, they may have the information you need. They list a phone number on their website, or they have a lot of information on older trailers posted on the site.

Welcome to the forums. Don't worry about your English. It's better than a lot of Americans I know.

Good luck with your new trailer.

Outside of tire to outside of tire on my 1979 Safari, same body style as your 1975 Overlander, is 87".

This is good info, this few inches makes different for me. Much easier to find a truck. You think is no different between Safari and Overlander ?

When it comes to me I start renovation inside and out then I post some photos and try write something about progress.

I believe that the only difference in measurements will be the length of the trailer.
