Introducing our '69 Overlander

In January, this '69 Overlander followed us home after being pulled out from under a tree that had vines all tangled around it. We really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into...other than the fact that we knew the refrigerator didn't work. We have since removed some items and made many upgrades over the last few months. I've been lurking around and asking questions on the forum, so I decided now was the time to share what we were working on.

Looks pretty good for having been wrapped in vines under a tree.

Congratulations from a fellow 69er! The exterior looks great and please let us know what you've discovered and plan to update/rehab. My unsolicited advice is to replace the axles based on the height of the trailer in relationship to the tires in the second pic. It's an investment to be sure, but one you won't regret. "Betty" towed much more smoothly and quit popping rivets after I replaced hers. And the job was not as difficult as I expected.

Looks like you found a great trailer. Lots of elbow grease and TLC and you will have a beauty. I love the 60's Airstreams.
