'69 roof leak

1969 Overlander International, has leak somewhere. Only leaks when hard rain or lots of wind. Water runs when press on ceiling close around center roof vent flange and in between horizontal wall panels. We have sealed all the roof seams, vent flanges rivets etc. Suspect the A/C vents on sides. Wind blows rain into A/C cover and then overflows into ceiling runs down to first place can escape. We have original Armstrong A/C and find no drain line visible under trailer. We have original Owners Manual and installation instructions for the Armstrong Tr 2. Breeze Air III, The Breeze Air instructions state that all Argosy and Airstream provided a drain line in between the wall on 1970 and later models and the owner manual would show the location of the drain line. We suspect the condensation line drained right of the top of the trailer, but our manual does not show the location. Any thoughts on how we might check for a clogged drain line or/and find this leak. We had 10 inches rain in 36 hrs last week, lots of water on floor and counter top in galley.

Check the gasket/westherstrip on the roof vents. With our (1975) vents closed a hard rain would result in water on the floor. New weatherstrip on the inside of the vent covers and no more water.

Thank you for your response. We replaced the front and back roof vents with Fantastic Fans last summer and repaired and replaced all weatherstripping on the center vent in the galley this spring. All roof top seams, pop rivets and other outlets such as vent flanges have been vulcanized and flex sealed, including the A/C shroud's top. That is why we think it is blowing in through the A/C shroud's side vents, but not sure. We have capped off sewage vent to make sure it is not coming in there next rain (tomorrow) if there is rain in floor we will know it was not that. We don't really suspect that as it should go to holding tank.

Had similar problem with our 69' over lander with Armstrong ac unit. After clashing leaks for three years and no available manual, finally took the ac unit off. There was a drain built in the unit that had been pluged off, that provided a drain for rain and condensation. That was connected to a drain line the went down the wall between kitchen and bed room, then exited out the bottom of the trailer. Had to install new ac with 14x14" roof opening with a drain kit to connect to the drain in the wall. All roof vents where cleaned and resaled with Trempro 635 sealant. So far no leaks, trouble about the hole thing is the ac worked well! Hope this helps.
