Would the removal of a window depreciate the value?

Hi. I'm renovating a 1964 Tradewind 24 with 4 windows on the left side of the trailer. I'm referring to the two, stacked windows toward the front of the trailer (one on top of the other).

I was thinking of removing the lower window and covering it up with AS aluminum cladding and buck rivets. The new design/layout has a longer kitchen counter and that counter would extend about 1/2 into the window area and would look wierd if it showed through the glass.

I really don't want to devalue my tiny haus and I was wondering if you think it would it depreciate the value of my trailer if I modify it like this? (I would keep the window in storage in case I ever sell the trailer.) Or, would you just leave it in its original state and shorten the counter?

Thanks, Julie

Just my opinion, if you are doing a resto mod and not staying original with the interior, covering the window won't hurt resale. Seems to be two distinct types of buyers of vintage trailers, purist that want everything original, and people who could care less about originality but look at practicality of the resto mods. Both groups seem willing to pay for what they want. If you are anything like me, once you are done with your trailer it will be yours for life. Hope this helps and have fun with your work!

Your trailer to do with as you please. You write the checks.
