window replacement

I have a missing front window for a 1972 31 foot sovereign. I have the frame for the window. Can I take the frame into an autoglass shop and ask them to make a window and piece the frame back together? Or is just buying an entire new window/frame the better option.

Cheaper to go to glass shop and get tempered glass with pencil edge

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, the front window can be reglassed, relatively easily. Surely much cheaper than buying a whole new window, frame and all.

These can be bought new from outofdoorsmart.com or Inlandrv.com. You might also find them used from silvertrailersupply.com. You can also look on the classified ads. When you see how much a new unit costs, you might want to be sitting down.

good luck!

Argosy trailers used "wrap windows".

Wing windows are about 14 inches wide. Wrap windows are about 40 inches wide.

You will also need a tube of Vulkem sealer and 100 "Olympic rivets", unless your going to use "buck rivets".
