Want to install CCD style bathroom door window

I am new to the forum so please excuse me if this topic has been discussed before. I just bought a 2007 19ft Safari SE and want to install the oblong portal bathroom door window that is offered on the CCD's. Can this window be sourced from the supplier to A/S or does it have to be purchased from them with the usual markup?

I would also be interested in a salvage part if anybody knows of any late model A/S's being parted out. Any info or input would be appreciated.

Thanks

TVK

Need CCD bathroom window

Tvankirk, I have the same goal: install the CCD riveted window in my 2007 Bambi SE's bathroom door. I chose the SE because I preferred the cabinetry of the straight Bambi, coupled with the interior aluminum skin and CCD exterior windows. Anyone know where we can obtain the window fixture, and approximately the cost of installation?

I belive that any dealer could get the window assembly part if there such a beast....or the door in general. The factory would have the needed part numbers.

Keep in mind that the door is NOT a solid core door. There are many voids within it. I don't know if the door with the window in it is any different or what it may or may not mean, but for sure the factory would know.

I myself would love to add the new door handle to mine!

Unhappy Sticker shock!

I asked my local airstream repair/maintenance source, C & G Trailers in Bellflower, CA, and they said to install a ROUND portal window (like those found in the 75th Anniversary Safari) would run about $575. Wow. I might want to install a inverter/converter and some other stuff before I spend the bucks on a window for the bathroom door. I already have a Honda 2000 genset; any suggestions for the next bit of "essential" equipment for a confirmed boondocker?

Info on bathroom door window

As a follow up, I did purchase the window and installed it myself. I special ordered the window from the factory for under $200.00 via Oasis Airstream in Tuscan, AZ. The dealer said both the oblong and circular window are available. As another poster pointed out a cross member is located in the door core but a jig saw cut through it with no problem. We have since sold the Airstream here on the foreum. I have attached a picture that shows the window installed.
