Replacement vent/dome cover for new trailer

We have a new-ish 2006 Safari 22' and the 14" root vent cover dissolved over 2 summer's in the desert (purchased in late 2005). There is basically nothing left. From what I can tell, and I need guidance on this, is the hinge type is "Jensen without pin" as seen here: CAMPERS WEST RV . . . . . Morro Bay, CA (2nd from left I think).

What remains on the trailer for a hinge is several (I think 4) small curved sections that the cover should hook into. I can't seem to find a cover to buy that will work. I tried Camping World and the one I bought doesn't "hinge". It's just all sloppy like. Where do I get the correct one?? And if I have incorrectly identified the hinge type, please correct me. I was not able to locate a part number in the manuals.

How far over to Los Banos from you? Toscano should be able to help you out.

If you don't want to go the dealer route, you can try Camping World. They have several types of lifd, all for less than $20 each.

If I were you the first thing that I would do is to call Jackson Center and speak to someone in Customer Service and/or Parts! It may or may not be covered under warranty but this is a good starting point. You are also guaranteed they will know exactly the cover you need and can supply you with the correct part number and estimated price. I'm betting they may even send you a part at no charge as that cover should not have dissolved no matter what the weather conditions where you live! Happy Trails, Ed

The Camping World store was out of stock. I'm going to try and check this one out in person today.

I was able to get the correct vent from RVToyOutlet.com. The receipt says

Our 2006 19' Bambi had a cracked vent cover, too...discovered shortly after we got it in Mar07. It's no doubt UV damage...real intense in these parts. It wasn't leaking (yet) as it was cracked over the two rivets (or maybe screws?) at the top end of the raising bar (when it's up). It was replaced by Oasis RV Center in Tucson under warrantee, no questions asked. I'm sure yours would be replaced at no cost, too.
